I’m totally excited about BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL™! When is it happening?
The plans for the production are over the next few years, but the first steps begin in the Fall of 2010. (Back to top.)

I’m really busy this fall…Do I HAVE to be available in the Fall of this year to be in the production??
Well, obviously if we think you’re PERFECT for the show, we’d love it if you were available then, but we plan for BRING IT ON to last for a LOOOOOONG time, so if you’re interested, come to the audition anyway. There will be a place on the Audition Information Sheet (which you’ll fill out at the audition) where you can let us know about your availability. (Back to top.)

How old do I have to be to audition?
Well, when rehearsals start, you'll need to be 18 years old. But, because we hope the show is going to run for a long time, we will see you at the audition as long as you are 16. (Back to top.)

Ok, so what will we DO in the audition?
In the audition you’ll be asked to learn a dance/cheer combination. It will be short. You’ll learn it in a large group and then present it in smaller groups (usually 3-4 people at a time). Then, if you do any tumbling, we may ask you to show us that. So stretch out and warm up a little before you come. If you’re part of a team that cheers together and you’ve come together, we’ll try to find time to have you show us some of your stunts too! After you've cheered and danced, we MAY ask you to SING. DON'T STRESS OUT if you don't sing. Not everyone in the show has to sing, so come audition regardless. (Back to top.)

I'm super-nervous about this whole SINGING thing -- HELP ME!!!????
Like we said, TRY NOT to STRESS about this part of the audition. You're going to get to cheer/dance first, so if you get to the part of the audition where we ask you to sing, that means WE REALLY LIKE something about you. So, here are some things that will help. We will have the lyrics/music to the following songs you might know from the radio -- listen to them before the audition, if you get a chance, and sing along with them, then you won't have to stress about learning something new or worrying about what to sing:
-"Halo" by Beyonce
-"Since U Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson
-"Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley
-"California" by Phantom Planet
-"Ordinary People" by John Legend
-"This Love" by Maroon 5
If there are ANY OTHER songs you know that you want to sing instead, that's TOTALLY GREAT. And, if there are no songs you can think of, we'll ask you to sing "Happy Birthday" -- because we KNOW that you know THAT ONE!!! (Back to top.)

I DO sing!! What should I bring to sing??
If you do have some training as a singer, you should bring a short pop/rock song to sing. Anything from the radio is great! We’ll have an accompanist there to play for you, so bring sheet music if you have it! (Back to top.)

What should I wear??
You can wear what you would to a dance audition or a cheerleading audition. Everyone in the show cheers at some point, so something appropriate that you’re comfortable in. Sneakers are great. (Back to top.)

What should I bring to the audition?
If you have a picture and a resume, definitely bring that. If you don’t, then just bring a recent snapshot of yourself. And if you DO sing and have sheet music, bring that. (Back to top.)

What will happen when I show up on the audition day?
Plan to come a little early – because of the popularity of the movies, we anticipate there might be a lot of people. There will be someone there to sign you in and give you an Audition Information Form to fill out. Then, we’ll teach the combination to groups of about 40 at a time. You may have to wait for a little while for your group to go – it will depend on how many people show up. Which is why it might be a good idea to leave your day open, so you don’t have to leave before you get a chance to audition. There will be people there to answer your questions. (Back to top.)
How long should I plan on being there?
Sometimes these audition days are long – it just depends on how many people attend. So, be prepared to stay for a while. Bring water, snacks, etc. (Back to top.)
What happens AFTER the audition? Should I expect to hear something from you?
Because of the VOLUME of people that audition, we can’t call everyone to let them know their status. But if we DO need to see you again, we will get in touch with you to let you know. On your information form, make SURE you fill out the “Contact Info” section clearly – we do a lot of communicating via e-mail. (Back to top.)
Total bummer – I can’t make it to any of the auditions!! What should I do?
First, keep checking back here – we may add dates as we continue to cast. But in the meantime, e-mail your picture and a resume and any videos you have of yourself cheering/dancing/singing to us at:
